About Student Visa Subclass 500 (Offshore)
The Australian Student Visa Subclass 500 allows international students to study full-time at a registered educational institution in Australia. This visa is for applicants applying from outside Australia and enables them to stay for up to 5 years, depending on the course length. It also offers work rights (up to 48 hours per fortnight during study sessions) and provides a pathway to further visas or permanent residency for eligible students.

Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) Statement
You must submit a GTE statement explaining your intention to stay in Australia temporarily for study purposes.
Financial Capacity
Provide evidence that you have enough funds to cover: Tuition fees Living expenses (approx. AUD 24,505 per year) Travel costs (return airfare)
English Language Proficiency
Demonstrate English proficiency through a valid test such as: IELTS (minimum 5.5–6.0 depending on the course) TOEFL, PTE Academic, or Cambridge English accepted too
Health & Character Requirements
