A total of 2050 nomination places have been issued to Tasmania this year, comprising:

Pending Nomination Applications
If you have already submitted a nomination application and are still waiting for a decision, Migration Tasmania will assess your application based on the eligibility criteria that were in effect when you applied. If your application is successful, you will be nominated through SkillSelect.
For Subclass 491 Applicants Interested in Subclass 190
If you have a pending application for Subclass 491 nomination, it will not be automatically considered for Subclass 190 nomination. To be considered for Subclass 190, you must first withdraw your existing Subclass 491 application and submit a new Registration of Interest (ROI) once the 2026–27 Tasmania Skilled Migration Program opens.
Please note that receiving an invitation to apply for Subclass 190 will depend on the level of demand and the number of nomination places available under the program at that time.
